2.CLIFTON BEACH

There are four beaches, Clifton 1, 2, 3 and 4. You need to park off Victoria Rd (M6) and take a walk down some steep steps to get one of these beaches that are joined together. This is well worth it for an enclave that is surrounded by top architecture overlooking these sheltered beaches. A pristine area with unique atmosphere.
3. DELLVILLE WOOD MEMORIAL
The Dellville Wood Memorial Garden, is dedicated to the 2245 South African soliders who lost their lives during World War I at the Battle of Delville Wood that occured in France. The memorial is located in the Company Gardens which were first created by the European settlers over 400 years ago. Over time important public buildings were erected around the park. Beautiful statues and indigenous plants add to the charm of this must see attraction.

4. THE CABLEWAY
Reach the Cableway ground station from Tafelberg Rd off the M62. The cost of the ticket is nothing for the experience you will have launching up the side of the mountain and seeing magnificent views over the city bowl, the V & A waterfront and even Robben Island.
5. THE KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS
Accessible via the M3 and M63, these huges gardens are immaculately kept and containt a huge variety of the Cape's most beautiful indigenous vegatation. This is something you have to see on your visit to Cape Town.

6. GREEN POINT PARK
Developed as part of the Cape Town soccer stadium that was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament, this tranquil space contains plenty of play equipment for kids, as well as shaded areas and landscape features. One of the few spots that welcomes picnics, this is a highly affordable outing.

7. MOUILLE POINT LIGHTHOUSE
The Green Point Lighthouse or mouille point lighthouse, is an operational lighthouses with the longest history in South Africa. It was first lit on 12 April 1824, and is now powered by Eskom mains power. This red and white building brings to mind all the classic lighthouse imagery and is very photogenic.
8. SEAPOINT PUBLIC POOLS
Built in the 1950's, there are four pools that are surrounded by rocky shoreline and the vast Atlantic Ocean. Whether you want to swim in the 50m Olympic size pool, or just have an ice-cream while enjoying the atmosphere this attraction near the city centre is something no holiday maker should miss.

9. SIMONSTOWN
A little further afield lies the friendly seaside town of Simonstown. Enjoy lunch as one of the many restaurants and then take a short trip to see the penguins at boulder's beach penguin sanctuary that is a stone's throw away.

9. TWO OCEANS AQUARIUM
This conservation and learning hub contains breathtaking large walk-through tanks home to giant sharks, turtles, rays and mantras, as well as many smaller displays of South African coastal creatures ranging from jelly fish to seahorses. A terrestrial section is home to penguins and amphibians. A must see stop for the whole family will love!

10. CAPE POINT
The tip of the Cape Peninsula has been dedicated as a large nature reserve. Of great historical significance Dias cross is to be found here, which he left when the first explorer from Europe arrived in the Cape from Portugal. See the tip of the Peninsula yourself in this stunning natural area, that also has the comfort of the fine Two Oceans restaurant and a tram to help you climb to see the white lighthouse. Bring a hat and sunscreen and make a day outing out of it.
